Ms Igarashi, Born in Kanagawa , Japan has had a very active career starting at such a young age of 12 when she began to study dance at a top level Ballet school, SENDAS Ballet Academy. From that beginning she had turned her attention on Marching band and Colorguard. She saw how she could combine the art of Ballet and dance and apply it to the marching Pagentry arts and joined the Elementary School Marching band in Yokohama are of Japan. Ms Igarashi carried that pasion of dance, Colorguard and pagentry on with her all the way thru Junior High School and High School.
Upon graduating she further dedicated her studies of dance and Colorguard and joined the world Famous Yokohama Scouts. During her time at the Yokohama Scouts she has achieved 7 Drum corps Japan Championships. During this time they have been the motivator in the Marching arts in Japan while attending the World Expo in Beijing in 2010. They Yokohama Scouts were selected to Attend the 2007 DCI world championship. Not only did they attend, they were the International Champions.
In 2008 Ms Igarashi joing the world renowned Santa Clara Vanguard drum and bugle corps where some of her teachers included Dave Meikle and Carol Abahabatab. It was this time where she took her skills in Dance and colorguard to the highest level possible and joing the DCI tour in the United States for 5 months ayear to study and Train in Colorguard and pagetry arts techniques. It is only a very logical progression that after she “Aged out” from the Santa Clara Drum corps that she then became a top member in the Santa Clara Vanguard Winte Guard WGI winterguard competitions from 2010- 2013 achieving Gold Silver and Branze medals throughout those year. She has now turned her fOCus to Instructing teaching and helping to continue the pagentry arts in her home country of Japan.
